I’m 6 foot 5 inches tall (maybe 6 foot 6 inches), just on the cusp of what is convenient for a modern human being. I’m told that at 6 foot 7 inches, consumer options begin to break down. Beds are too short, cars too small, pants too short, reclining chairs feel shrunken, and GPS Systems are flippant. But I’m still tall enough to be asked the question: “How is the air up there?” which I report as “fine.” What I don’t say is that the Earth’s decreasing gravitational influence the further one is from gravity central means that time in my feet runs slower relative to the time in my head (because the air is so thin up here). I think this explains a lot. This infinitesimal difference in time is based on Einstein’s physics.
